Description

Mahachanok mango

The Mahachanok mango, also known as “Maha Chanok”, is a prized hybrid mango variety developed in Thailand, believed to be a cross between a Thai and Indian cultivar. It is highly regarded for its exceptional taste, striking appearance, and export quality.

The fruit has a long, slender, curved shape, often tapering at one end, and weighs between 250g to 450g. Its skin turns from green to golden yellow with a striking reddish-pink blush when fully ripe—giving it excellent visual appeal.

The flesh is deep orange, smooth, juicy, and completely fiberless. The flavor is intensely sweet, floral, and aromatic, with hints of tropical fruit and a pleasant aftertaste. It is known for its high Brix level, ranging between 18–21°, making it one of the sweetest mangoes available.

Mahachanok mangoes have a long shelf life, making them ideal for both domestic markets and international export. They are commonly eaten fresh but are also excellent for desserts, juices, and mango sticky rice.
